Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of withherfriend.com and to enquiries submitted through this website, by telephone or by email. By using this website or sending an enquiry, you agree to use the website lawfully and to provide accurate information when requesting availability, prices or booking details.
Business contact details: Withherfriend, Unit 104 Railway Arches, London E1 2LY, United Kingdom. Telephone: +44 20 7237 3108.
These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Cancellation Policy. Where a confirmed cruise is supplied by a separate vessel owner, marina, skipper, captain or tour operator, additional operator terms may also apply.
About Withherfriend
Withherfriend provides information and enquiry support for private Thames yacht cruise experiences in London. The website is designed to help visitors understand the proposed route, cruise format, inclusions, meeting point and availability process.
Unless stated otherwise in writing, information on this website is not a live booking system and does not guarantee vessel availability, departure times, final pricing or suitability for a particular group.
Website information
The website provides general information about a private 2-hour luxury yacht cruise on the River Thames, normally starting and ending at Imperial Wharf Marina in Fulham. Descriptions, images, route details, inclusions, timings and prices are provided for guidance only.
We aim to keep website information clear and accurate, but river operations can change because of tide, river traffic, weather, local restrictions, safety requirements, vessel availability and captain decisions. Final details must always be confirmed in writing before a booking is treated as confirmed.
Website images may include illustrative photography. Vessel appearance, layout, seating, onboard facilities and available equipment may vary depending on the vessel assigned to the booking.
Enquiries
Submitting a contact form, calling us or sending an email is an enquiry only. It does not create a confirmed booking, reserve a vessel, guarantee a departure time or create an obligation for us or any operator to provide a cruise.
When making an enquiry, you should provide accurate details, including preferred date, preferred time, number of guests, contact information, any special requirements and any relevant accessibility or safety considerations.
We may contact you to clarify your request, confirm availability, provide a quote or explain any operational restrictions that may affect the cruise.
Bookings and confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when Withherfriend or the relevant operator provides written confirmation that clearly states the confirmed date, time, meeting point, price, payment requirements, cancellation terms and any special conditions that apply.
A provisional quote, availability message or website description is not a confirmed booking unless it is expressly confirmed in writing. We may refuse or decline an enquiry where the requested date, group size, behaviour risk, accessibility requirement, vessel availability or operational conditions make the cruise unsuitable or unavailable.
The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all guests in the party understand the relevant safety instructions, meeting arrangements, restrictions and behaviour rules.
Prices and payment
Prices shown on the website or provided during an enquiry are indicative unless confirmed in writing. Final prices may depend on the date, time, group size, vessel availability, marina arrangements, route, special requests and operator requirements.
The confirmed booking message will explain the required payment method, deposit amount if applicable, payment deadline and balance payment terms. A booking may be released or cancelled if payment is not received by the stated deadline.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices are shown in pounds sterling and may include pier, marina or fuel costs where these are specifically listed as included. Optional extras, gratuities, special catering, additional waiting time, extended cruise time and third-party charges may be charged separately.
Cancellation and refunds
The applicable cancellation and refund rules will be confirmed in writing before or at the time of booking. For the advertised private Thames yacht cruise, the standard website summary is that cancellation made at least 14 days before the scheduled cruise may be eligible for a full refund, unless a different written booking condition applies.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled cruise, no-shows, late arrivals that prevent departure, or cancellations caused by failure to comply with safety or conduct rules may be non-refundable or may be subject to reasonable charges.
Where a booking is for a leisure activity to be provided on a specific date or during a specific period, statutory cancellation rights may not apply in the same way as they do for ordinary distance purchases. Your confirmed booking terms will explain the cancellation position that applies to your booking.
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned to the original payment method. Processing times may depend on banks, card providers or payment processors.
Route and operational changes
The planned sightseeing route normally starts at Imperial Wharf Marina and may include exterior views and guided commentary around Battersea Power Station, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Cleopatra’s Needle, St Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe, The Shard, Tower of London and Tower Bridge, before returning to Imperial Wharf Marina.
The exact route, speed, turnaround point and sightseeing sequence may vary because of tide, river traffic, temporary restrictions, police or harbour authority instructions, weather, safety requirements, vessel limitations or captain decisions.
The captain has final authority over the operation of the vessel. A change to the route for operational or safety reasons does not automatically entitle guests to a refund where the cruise has been substantially provided.
Arrival, meeting point and late guests
The meeting point for the advertised cruise is normally Imperial Wharf Marina, The Boulevard, Fulham SW6 2ZT, located within the Imperial Wharf Development, opposite The Waterside pub.
Guests should arrive in good time before the confirmed departure. Late arrival may reduce the cruise duration or prevent the vessel from departing, especially where marina, river traffic or tide windows apply.
We are not responsible for delays caused by transport disruption, incorrect navigation, late guests, failure to find the meeting point or failure to follow the arrival instructions provided in the booking confirmation.
Guest conduct
Guests must behave responsibly, follow crew instructions and avoid any behaviour that could endanger the vessel, crew, passengers, other river users or property. The captain or crew may refuse boarding, stop service, return to the marina or remove a guest where safety or conduct concerns arise.
Guests must not interfere with vessel controls, safety equipment, crew operations, mooring lines, emergency equipment or restricted areas. Children and young people must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Guests may be responsible for damage caused to the vessel, equipment, marina property or third-party property as a result of careless, reckless or deliberate behaviour.
Prohibited items and restrictions
Unless written approval is provided in advance, the following are not permitted: high-heeled shoes, pets, weapons, sharp objects, large luggage, suitcases, prams, non-folding pushchairs, smoking, vaping where restricted, drones, e-scooters, bicycles, handcarts, glass items, fireworks, explosives, surfboards, swimming from the vessel, intoxication, illegal substances and unaccompanied minors.
Non-folding wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walking frames or crutches may not be suitable for the vessel or marina access arrangements. Please discuss any mobility requirement before booking so that suitability can be checked.
Guests who arrive intoxicated, behave aggressively, fail to follow instructions or attempt to bring prohibited items onboard may be refused boarding without refund.
Weather and safety
The cruise is intended to operate in most normal weather conditions. However, river conditions can change and the captain may delay, shorten, reroute, reschedule or cancel a cruise where safety or operational conditions require it.
Guests should dress appropriately for the weather and river environment. Even where the yacht can be covered or heated, outdoor boarding, marina access and deck areas may still be affected by wind, rain or cold weather.
Where the operator cancels a cruise for safety reasons before departure, the available options may include rescheduling, credit or refund depending on the confirmed booking terms and the circumstances of the cancellation.
Accessibility and suitability
Private yacht cruises may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or guests who require step-free access throughout the journey. Access may involve marina walkways, steps, narrow boarding areas, moving surfaces and confined spaces onboard.
Guests should tell us about any mobility, medical, pregnancy, sensory, assistance or accessibility requirement before booking. We will use the information provided to check whether the cruise is suitable and whether any reasonable adjustments are possible.
If important accessibility information is not provided before booking, boarding may be refused where the captain or operator reasonably considers that safe boarding or safe participation is not possible.
Food, drinks and onboard service
Soft drinks may be included where stated in the confirmed booking. Food is not included unless confirmed in writing. Guests should not assume that catering, alcohol, birthday packages, decorations or special service items are included unless they appear in the booking confirmation.
Where external food, drinks or decorations are requested, approval must be obtained before the cruise. The operator may refuse items that create safety, cleaning, licensing, allergy, fire, glass or operational risks.
Gratuities are not included unless expressly stated. Guests may choose to tip the captain or crew at their discretion.
Photography, personal items and lost property
Guests may usually take personal photos and videos during the cruise, provided this does not interfere with safety instructions, crew duties, other guests, restricted areas or privacy rights.
Guests are responsible for their own phones, cameras, bags, clothing and personal belongings. River and marina environments involve movement and water exposure, so valuable items should be handled carefully.
We will try to assist with lost property enquiries, but we are not responsible for items lost, dropped, damaged or left behind unless the loss is caused by our proven negligence.
Third-party operators and services
Some cruises, vessels, crew, marina facilities, payment services or optional extras may be supplied by third-party operators or service providers. Their own terms, safety rules, insurance conditions and operating procedures may apply.
Where a third-party operator is responsible for supplying the cruise, your contract for the cruise may be with that operator rather than with Withherfriend. This will be explained in the booking confirmation where applicable.
Withherfriend is not responsible for third-party websites, external platforms, transport services, restaurants, accommodation, attractions or other services that are not directly supplied by us.
Privacy, cookies and communications
Personal information submitted through the website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may use enquiry details to respond to your request, provide availability information, prepare a quote, manage a booking, handle customer service messages and meet legal or operational requirements.
The website may use essential cookies required for basic functionality and, where enabled, optional cookies described in our Cookie Policy. You should not submit payment card details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive personal information through a general contact form.
By submitting an enquiry, you agree that we may contact you using the details provided in relation to that enquiry. Marketing communications, where used, will be handled in accordance with applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Subject to the above, Withherfriend is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information provided by a visitor, late arrival, failure to follow instructions, prohibited items, unsuitable clothing or footwear, weather disruption, river restrictions, third-party failures, transport delays or events outside reasonable control.
We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of enjoyment caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity or consequential loss, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
Complaints and contact
If you have a concern about the website, an enquiry or a confirmed booking, please contact us as soon as possible using the contact details on the website. Include your name, contact details, booking reference if available, cruise date and a clear description of the issue.
We will review complaints fairly and may need to contact the relevant operator, captain, marina or payment provider before providing a final response.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to the website, services, operational processes, legal requirements or business details. The version published on this page applies to website use from the date it is posted.
For confirmed bookings, the terms provided or referenced at the time of written booking confirmation will normally apply, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you in writing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory rights under the law of the country or region where you live, where such rights cannot legally be excluded.
